Vertical gardens in Colombia – University of Los Andes, Bogotá

Bogotá, Colombia

10/04/2014

The Vertical Garden of the University of Los Andes is made up of 127 square meters and is composed of 3,500 plants belonging to 30 families, most of them local.

The main difficulty of this work was to design a supporting structure, since the walls, where the Vertical Garden’s burden was placed, were part of a future rehabilitation project. The purpose of this vegetal façade is to be a bridge between the former headquarters of the university and the new customer service building.

Carried out in collaboration with our partners of Groncol.
