Montevideo, Uruguay

02/09/2014

In August 2014, the building of the biggest vertical garden in Uruguay was finished.

With almost three hundred square meters over a surface of 52 meters long and four and a half meters high, this vertical ecosystem will filter more than 165 tones of gases per year and will supply the oxygen for 255 people, at the same time it will capture about 130 kilos of dust every year.

On this vertical garden, six thousand specimens of plants, most of them endemic, of thirty five species and ten different families were used, assuring an interaction between species favorable to provide, besides an esthetic value.
